  • The Importance of Taking a Well-Deserved Day Off

As a business owner, it’s easy to fall into the mindset that every day needs to be productive, that if you’re not working, you’re falling behind. But one thing I’ve learned is that taking time off isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. This past Friday, I took a day off, something I don’t do nearly enough, and it was exactly what I needed. My husband, who works just as hard as I do, took the day off too, and we made a plan to just enjoy the day together. No emails, no work, no to-do lists. A Day of Rest, Fun, and Creativity We started the day with brunch because what’s better than a slow morning and good food. Sitting together without rushing off to the next task was such a refreshing change of pace. After that, we went thrift shopping, one of our favorite things to do. There’s something about searching for unique, vintage finds that feels like a treasure hunt. We didn’t have a particular list in mind, just the fun of exploring and seeing what caught our eye. And because we can’t resist a good project, we wrapped up the day buying a table saw so we can start building our kitchen island cabinets for our barndominium. The best part? We didn’t rush through the decision, we didn’t feel stressed about the timeline, we just enjoyed the process of picking out the right tool for the job and imagining how it will come together. Why Taking a Day Off Matters This day reminded me that stepping away from work doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. It means you’re refueling so you can keep going. It gave me quality time with my husband, who has been my biggest supporter through all of my business growth. It let me recharge mentally, which means I came back to work feeling more focused and ready to tackle my goals. It gave me space for creativity and inspiration, something that often gets buried under daily responsibilities. I think as entrepreneurs, we often forget to celebrate the life we’re building. We work so hard to create freedom and success, but if we don’t take the time to enjoy it, what’s the point? A Clear Mind and a Productive Weekend On Saturday morning, I woke up feeling so refreshed. My brain was ready to work, and I felt more inspired than I had in a long time. I actually wrote this blog on Saturday morning, completed all of my business tasks for both Saturday and Sunday before noon, and felt extremely accomplished. By the time I wrapped up my work, I was ready to fully enjoy the rest of the weekend and head into the new week with a clear mind. A Reminder for Fellow Entrepreneurs If you’ve been working nonstop, consider this your reminder to take a break. You don’t have to take an entire day, but give yourself a few hours to do something you love, step away from the screen, and reset. Your business will still be there when you come back, and you’ll be in an even better place to grow it. I’d love to hear when was the last time you took a full day off, and what did you do? Drop it in the comments. Let’s remind each other that rest is just as important as the hustle.

  • The Exhausting and Expensive Reality of Building Your Own House

Let’s just say… HGTV doesn’t show this  part. Building your own home sounds dreamy in theory: custom layout, handpicked finishes, full creative control. And while that all holds true, here’s the other side of it it’s exhausting, it’s expensive, and it tests you in ways you never expected . I’m currently bruised, my back is shot, and I have caulk stuck in places that no amount of scrubbing seems to fix. We just dropped over $9,000 on insulation , and it won’t even arrive until May 30 , which means progress in several areas is now at a standstill. Oh, and did I mention? I’m pregnant . Which means I’m not much help these days when it comes to physical labor. I try, but as my belly keeps growing, so do the limits on what I can realistically do. And trust me, there’s a lot  to do. We're Doing This Ourselves We’ve taken the DIY route for most of this build. It’s me, my husband, and my parents out there week after week. Every step forward feels earned, because it is . We’re not just paying someone to get it done. We’re the ones trenching, drilling, hauling, wiring. The pride is real, but so is the exhaustion. And now that I’m growing a whole human, even the little things feel ten times harder. To be clear, we’re not moving in any time soon. Our move-in date isn’t until October 2026 . That feels both comforting (more time) and overwhelming (more time). There’s still so much left to do, and we’re only scratching the surface. The Toll of It All Today is Sunday, and honestly, I didn’t even start my VA work until 5 PM . I was that  tired. I worked until 9 PM just trying to catch up on what I normally knock out earlier in the day. Between building the house, growing a baby, and running multiple businesses, the tank is running low more often than I care to admit. Physically, I’m wiped. Mentally, I’m stretched. Financially, I’m tracking every dollar. Emotionally… well, I’m holding on. But Still—We're Building Something Even in the mess of it all, I remind myself: we’re not just building a house. We’re building our future . A space that reflects everything we’ve worked for. A place where our family will grow. It’s not glamorous right now. It’s painful. It’s pricey. It’s slow. But it’s ours. And while I might be waddling my way through the next phases and sneaking in naps every chance I get, I know it’ll all be worth it someday. If you’ve been through this (pregnant and  building a home), send me your best survival tips. Because today, I’m running on fumes, leftovers, and pure grit. We’ve got a long road ahead but we’re in it. One slow, sweaty, stubborn step at a time.

  • I Hired an Assistant for Myself: Why It Was the Best Decision for My Business (and My Sanity)

Just over a week ago, I was tagged in a post that stopped me in my tracks. At the time, I was completely drained. I was behind on everything that wasn’t client work. My rocks were untouched, admin tasks were untouched, and my own business goals were sitting on the back burner—again. The truth? I was putting everyone else’s needs above my own and running on fumes. Meanwhile, my VA services were growing fast (eep!), and while I was so incredibly grateful, I was also overwhelmed. And that’s when it hit me: I constantly coach other business owners to delegate … and I wasn’t doing it for myself. So I took my own advice and hired Nicole —my new assistant. And within just two days, I felt relief in a way I hadn’t in months. This Wasn’t a Random Hire This wasn’t just a quick fix. With a baby on the way , I knew I had to make serious moves to protect both my energy and my client work. I refuse to let anything slip during maternity leave, especially when it comes to serving my clients. Hiring support wasn’t optional. It was a business decision —and a necessary one. What Nicole Supports Me With Nicole is already helping me: Stay ahead of client communication Keep internal systems organized Make space in my day to focus on strategy and leadership Clear the mental clutter that’s been building for months She’s not just checking off to-dos—she’s helping me breathe again. The Deeper Lesson This whole experience reminded me of something powerful: we don’t have to do it all alone . As women entrepreneurs, we carry so much. The vision. The pressure. The passion. Sometimes even the entire business. But real success doesn’t come from being the one who does it all. It comes from knowing when to lean on others , when to let go , and when to make space for help . To every woman out here building something from scratch:You are allowed to rest , to receive , and to rise with support .Your business doesn’t have to burn you out to be brilliant. Ready for What’s Next Now with the help I have in place, I can take on more—and I’m excited to. In April , I’m onboarding 2 new VA clients . Know someone who needs this kind of support? Refer a friend and get money off your next month. Let’s build something amazing—without burning out in the process.

  • Why I Love Being a VA (Even If It Means Doing the Work You Hate)

Let’s be real—every business has those tasks that make you cringe. The inbox that never stops. The tech glitches. The endless admin work. The recurring “I’ll get to it later” items that somehow never get checked off. Well… I love  those tasks. Seriously. That’s exactly why I became a Virtual Assistant. I Genuinely Love the Work I didn’t fall into VA work—I chose it. I love organizing chaos. I love creating systems out of scattered ideas. I love being the person behind the scenes who keeps things moving when the business owner is overwhelmed, maxed out, or just plain tired of doing the same repetitive tasks every day. What most people hate doing? That’s usually the first thing I want  to take off their plate. Because for me, it’s not “just admin.” It’s creating space for someone else to breathe. It’s bringing order to someone else’s overwhelm. That’s not just rewarding—it’s empowering. Why This Work Matters I’ve seen firsthand what happens when a business owner tries to do it all. The growth stalls. The creativity fades. The passion starts to feel like pressure. But when they delegate, when they let someone like me handle the day-to-day... everything changes. They get their time back. They get their energy back. They finally focus on the parts of the business that only they  can do. And I get to support that. That’s the heart of it. I love being the person who makes your business lighter. What I Actually Do If you’ve ever wondered what kind of tasks a VA (especially this  VA) takes on, here’s a peek: Email and calendar management System setup and automation Website and tech troubleshooting Content scheduling and basic design Client onboarding and organization Project management and admin support Basically? I fill in the gaps. So you can step into your zone of genius without being dragged down by everything else. If You’re Ready to Let Go If you know someone drowning in tasks, feeling stuck, or avoiding their inbox for the third day in a row—it might be time. Let me do the things they hate, so they can get back to what they love . In April, I’m onboarding 2 new VA clients . Know someone who needs this kind of support? Refer them and get a discount on your next month. Let’s build your business the smart way—together.

  • Anatomy Scan, Secret Envelope, and Our Gender Reveal

Today is a day we’ve been waiting for since the moment we found out we were expecting— anatomy scan day ! This morning, we head to our appointment to see a detailed view of our growing baby. We’ll check on all the little fingers and toes, the heartbeat, and how everything is developing. It’s one of the biggest and most exciting milestones in pregnancy… and today, it gets even better. Because we’re also getting the envelope. The one with the big secret inside. The one that reveals whether we’re having a little boy or a little girl. The one we’ve been so excited (and a little impatient) to open. But we won’t be opening it alone. A Sweet Family Celebration On Easter Sunday, we’ll be gathering with our close family for a small, intimate gender reveal celebration . Nothing fancy, just love, excitement, and a few happy tears. It means the world to share this moment with the people who have supported us through every chapter of our journey. From our parents helping us build our house (literally) to those who’ve cheered us on through life and business, this baby is already so loved. I know this will be one of those memories I carry with me forever and our baby’s first big moment surrounded by the people who matter most. So… Team Boy or Team Girl? We’ll be finding out right alongside our family, and I seriously can’t wait. I’ve gone back and forth a million times in my head trying to guess, but honestly, I’m just filled with gratitude and joy that we get to celebrate this life together. Whatever the envelope says, one thing is certain: Our world is about to change in the most beautiful way. I’ll share the big news soon, but for now, we’re soaking up every moment of this unforgettable day. Want a sneak peek or to be the first to know the gender once we share? Make sure you're following me on all socials! We can’t wait to celebrate with you, too.

  • Babymoon Bliss, Our Gender Reveal Surprise, and a Big Step in the House Build

This past week has been full of joy, rest, and some seriously exciting milestones. From our babymoon getaway to the moment we found out our baby’s gender, it’s safe to say this will be a week we’ll never forget. Let’s start with something I highly recommend to any expecting parent— the babymoon. What Is a Babymoon? A babymoon is a special trip taken by expectant parents before the baby arrives which is a chance to relax, reconnect, and enjoy some uninterrupted time together before life changes in the most beautiful way. Our babymoon was everything we needed. We spent time unwinding, having slow mornings, and doing the things we love without being on a schedule. No client calls. No house projects. Just us. We didn't even travel far either! We enjoyed our babymoon here in College Station at Hotel McCoy. We spent the first day starting with 18-holes of golf, a solid 2 hour nap, and then a late night movie at Cinemark. The 2nd day, we enjoyed lounging at the pool and prepared for baby. We never really get to enjoy each other's company as much since we are both busy, hustling entrepreneurs but when we do, we realize how much we enjoy it. We laughed, rested, and had deep conversations about what life will look like when our little one is here. It gave us a chance to step away from the constant to-do list and really soak in the excitement of what’s to come. Gender Reveal: It's a Boy! While we were still floating from the babymoon, we had one more major moment waiting— our gender reveal . We gathered with close family on Easter Sunday and handed my husband the secret powder filled football. And in true “us” fashion… he long snapped the football to reveal the result. IT’S A BOY! Cue the happy tears, hugs, and the loudest cheers from the people who love us most. It was such a fun and personal way to find out, and I’ll never forget that moment. We’re both so thrilled (and maybe just a little nervous) to be raising a boy, but mostly we’re just overwhelmingly grateful. Back to Business: House Progress Now that the celebrations have settled, it’s back to the build. We’re gearing up for one of the biggest transitions in the house process yet: Insulation and drywall . We’ve officially ordered everything, and it’s set to be delivered this Friday . Once it arrives, we’ll be diving into installing insulation throughout our 6,000 sq ft barndominium and getting ready to close up the walls. This step makes everything feel so real. Walls going up means we’re that much closer to move-in day even if it’s still a ways off (October 2026, to be exact). So Much to Celebrate From the joy of our babymoon to the excitement of finding out we’re having a baby boy, and now jumping into the next big phase of our home build, this season of life feels full. Full of love, of change, and of the kind of growth that only comes when you’re building something from the ground up. Literally and figuratively. Thanks for following along with our journey. We can’t wait to share more as we get closer to meeting our son and building the home he’ll grow up in.

  • How I Travel and Work at the Same Time (Without Burning Out)

This week is a full one for me! I’m out of town in Galveston until Thursday , and then headed straight to Las Vegas for a business trip Friday morning (at 2am in the morning) . As a business owner, the ability to travel while still keeping things moving is one of the biggest perks and one of the biggest challenges. It takes planning, flexibility, and a mindset that prioritizes both productivity and presence . But it’s absolutely possible. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. How I’m Balancing Work and Travel This Week While I’m in Vegas, I’m combining a little bit of everything: Visiting with clients Working remotely Taking intentional time to relax and recharge I’ve got a day pass for Saturday and Sunday at the pool  at the Virgin Hotel, and I’m intentionally setting up my days to create a healthy balance. Here’s the plan: Laptop by the pool  in the morning. I’ll work, knock out client tasks, check emails, and make progress while soaking in a little sun. Work until my laptop dies . Once it’s dead? That’s my cutoff . That’s when it’s time to put business away and focus fully on me . No guilt. No stressing over what’s not done. Just trusting the boundaries I’ve set and knowing I showed up for my clients and myself. Since my husband is in Vegas for work, I’m also giving myself permission to go with the flow . Maybe we’ll grab dinner, maybe I’ll take a nap in the afternoon. The goal is to stay flexible and soak it all in without feeling chained to a strict schedule . Why Work + Travel Can Actually Be Good for You Working in a setting like a beach or a pool is one of the best ways to bring fresh energy into your business. The environment is relaxing : The sound of water, the warm air, and the sunshine do wonders for your mindset. It forces you to prioritize : You focus on the essentials because you’re naturally balancing work with play. It resets your creativity : Being outside of your normal workspace sparks new ideas and fresh perspectives. You actually get more done : When you know you have a cut-off time (like when your laptop battery runs out), you work smarter, not harder. It’s a reminder that you can be productive without grinding yourself into the ground. You can enjoy your life and  run your business at the same time. Building a Business That Travels With Me This week is exactly why I built my businesses the way I did. To give myself the freedom to work anywhere, take trips without stress, and stay connected while still living my life . It’s not about being available 24/7. It’s about being intentional, efficient, and present  wherever I am. If you’ve been dreaming about a business that gives you the freedom to travel and still thrive, I promise you, it’s possible. It just takes the right systems, support, and mindset. I’ll be sharing more from Vegas (and maybe a poolside work update or two). Stay tuned!

  • Reset, Routine, and a Last-Minute Trip to Dallas

After weeks of travel, celebration, and nonstop momentum, last week was exactly what I needed. A full week of catching up on work, sleep, and getting back to my normal routine . There’s something really grounding about returning to your own rhythm after being in go-mode. I finally had the chance to clear my inbox, check off tasks that had been lingering on my list, and even slow down enough to enjoy my evenings without feeling behind. And then… in true me fashion… I booked a last-minute trip to Dallas  on Friday and hit the road Saturday. Because why not? The Power of Rest and Spontaneity The best part about last week was the balance. I stuck to my schedule, got back into a groove, and then gave myself permission to say yes to something spontaneous. I’ve realized that building a life I love means being structured and  flexible. I can commit to work and routine during the week and still take off on an unplanned weekend adventure when I need a change of scenery. Prioritizing Health (for Me and Baby) This week, I’m being intentional about taking better care of myself . That means slowing down enough to: Actually eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner  (not just snacks at my desk) Go on two 45-minute walks a day  to move my body and clear my head Rest when my body tells me to I keep reminding myself: I’m growing a future NFL athlete over here , and he’s counting on me to fuel both of us well. It’s not just about checking things off the to-do list. It’s about showing up for myself with the same energy I give to my clients. Back to the Build We’re also gearing up for another house-building weekend . A couple of weeks ago, we had all of our insulation and drywall delivered , and after a much-needed three-week break, we’re finally diving back in. This weekend, we’ll begin working on insulation , a huge step forward that brings us one layer closer to seeing this dream house take shape. It’s hard, sweaty work, but every piece of progress is worth it. A Gentle Reminder If you’re finding yourself in a season of constant hustle, this is your reminder that it’s okay to reset. Catch up. Slow down. Take the weekend trip. Prioritize yourself in the process. You don’t have to choose between discipline and joy. You can build both into your week. Here’s to healthy routines, spontaneous getaways, and building businesses and homes that leave room for life.

  • Blogging From Vegas: Business, Balance, and Letting Go of the Plan

Right now, I’m writing this from the Kassi Beach Club  at the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas , a place that’s as energetic as it sounds. Let’s just say, it’s not your average remote work setting. The DJ is spinning some great hits, the music is loud, and the vibe is definitely more “pool party” than “co-working session.” But that didn’t stop me from getting things done. Before the beats fully kicked in, I was able to squeeze in some client work and wrap up a side project for a new client . It felt good to be productive, even in a swimsuit, under the Vegas sun. Vegas Wins (Literally and Figuratively) While my plan was to get a little more work done during this trip, I’m not stressing about it. I still managed to stay on top of what mattered, and I even got in some gambling (because why not?). And here’s the best part: I’m heading home breaking even . Everything I took out to play with, I made back. That’s a win in my book. Business is Booming Even while away, things haven’t slowed down one bit. Last week was packed with consults , and this week is already filling up fast with new client bookings. To keep up with the momentum, I made a big move: I hired 3 new team members  who will be starting this summer. They’ll be supporting me in a few different ways: Web and app development work VA support  across my businesses And most exciting of all, they’ll be learning and getting mentored by me this summer It’s part capacity, part legacy. I’m excited to guide them and help shape the way they show up in the online business world. When Things Don’t Go to Plan This week has been a beautiful reminder that plans don’t have to be perfect to be powerful . Yes, I didn’t work as much as I thought I would. Yes, the DJ drowned out my concentration by lunchtime. Yes, I had to be flexible. But you know what? It was still productive. It was still aligned. And it was still worth it. If things aren’t going exactly how you planned, especially if you’re building a business, juggling travel, or (like me) growing a baby , please remember this: You don’t have to do it all today. There is always tomorrow. You’re allowed to adapt. You’re allowed to rest. And you’re absolutely allowed to enjoy where you are while still moving forward. Need help creating more flexibility in your business? Let's talk about how we can build systems and support that travel with you. And if you're not following along on socials, you’re missing some fun behind-the-scenes moments from the poolside CEO life!

  • Another House Building Weekend, Client Consults, and Prepping for a Philly Wedding

This weekend left me sore in all the ways that come with building a house from the ground up. We were back at it again, finally starting insulation  inside the barndo. It wasn’t the sun that got to me, it was just plain hot inside the structure , and even with fans running, the heat was no joke. With both my husband and parents keeping a close eye on me, I kept things light. They made sure I wasn’t overheating , and while I know they’re right, it’s still tough feeling like I can’t contribute as much as I want to. There was even a moment where I considered throwing out an offer to trade services with clients , just to have someone step in and help me out while I step back. It’s one of those weird seasons where you want  to do more but also have  to honor your limits. House Progress: One Step Closer Even with the heat and limitations, it felt so good to finally get started on insulation. It’s one of those “real progress” steps, something that visibly moves the build forward and makes it all feel worth it. Every time we get another task done, I can picture us a little bit closer to home. Business: Saying Yes (and No) with Intention On the business side, it’s been a busy few weeks  with consults coming in consistently. But now more than ever, I’m being picky about what I can and can’t take on . With baby due in late August , May and June will be my final onboarding months . After that, I’m closing the books until I return from maternity leave. This gives me the time I need to onboard clients properly  and continue training my now 7 team members  so they’re fully prepared to carry things forward while I step back. If you’ve been thinking about working together, now’s the time to reach out. Next Stop: Philly Wedding Weekend This week, we’re packing our bags and heading out Thursday to Sunday for a wedding in Philadelphia . We’re making the most of the trip with a little bit of business sprinkled in (of course). I’m bringing a stack of business cards  to hand out to local shops and small businesses, and I’m hoping to find a networking hour or local entrepreneur event  while we’re there. So if you’re local or know the area, send me all your favorite things to do and eat in Philly . I want to make the most of it between wedding events, walks, and maybe a soft serve (or five). A Little Reminder This season is full. It’s not always balanced, it’s not always graceful, but it’s honest and real and growing. If you’re in a season where you’re juggling life, business, and big transitions too, give yourself the space to do what you can  and grace for what you can’t . Here’s to building houses, building businesses, and building families... all on your own terms.

  • Philly Weddings, Baby Kicks on the Dance Floor, and a Busy June Ahead

This past weekend was one of those memory-making moments I’ll be holding onto for a long time. Not only did I take two full days off  (yes, completely off and my laptop only came out once), but we traveled to Philadelphia  to attend my husband Bobby Joe’s cousin’s wedding , and it was everything we didn’t know we needed. A Weekend Full of Connection The wedding itself was beautiful, but what made it even more special was watching Bobby Joe reconnect with his mom’s side of the family after 22 years . You could feel the warmth, the stories, the joy. There’s something powerful about seeing where you come from and it was clear that this moment meant so much to him and to all of us. His family welcomed me with open arms, and it felt like I’d always been a part of them. We’re already making plans to go back and have made it a priority to return within the next five years. And of course, the dancing . You know I couldn’t skip the dance floor and apparently neither could baby boy. Jett was having a field day in there , kicking nonstop with the loud music and every move I made. It was such a surreal moment to be twirling around, surrounded by joy, with our baby dancing along in my belly. Exploring Philly Outside of the wedding, we packed in a bit of sightseeing and, of course, some good eats . We saw the Liberty Bell , Independence Hall , and even visited Benjamin Franklin’s grave . But the real highlight? The food. Cheesesteaks and Tastykake  were a must. And we got a table at Ralph’s , the oldest Italian restaurant in America. I had the best spinach gnocchi  and tiramisu  I’ve ever tasted. It was the perfect mix of family, food, history, and stepping out of our routine. Back to Business and the Build Now that we’re home, I’ve jumped straight into a full Monday catch-up . There’s a lot to do from emails, client updates, and prepping for another house-building weekend . This weekend, we’re continuing insulation  and starting blocking  inside the walls. These are the less glamorous but super important steps that will lay the groundwork for what comes next. Every weekend puts us one step closer to move-in, even if there’s still a long way to go. And let me just say... being pregnant and working inside a hot barndo isn’t for the faint of heart . My parents and husband are constantly reminding me to take it easy, and while it’s hard not to feel like I’m not doing enough, I’m trying to trust that this season is about balance. Wrapping Up June with Intention On the business side , I’m focused on onboarding two new clients , delegating as much as I can , and finishing major projects before July hits . May and June are the final months I’ll be onboarding clients before maternity leave , and I want to make sure I give each new client the time and attention they deserve. My team is growing and now includes seven amazing team members , so I’m also continuing to mentor and train them as we head into this next chapter. Two Weeks from the Third Trimester I’m officially two weeks away from the third trimester , and it’s hard to believe how fast time is flying. Emotionally? I seem to cry at every TikTok with a birth story. Physically? I’m slowing down, but still trying to move my body and rest when I can. Mentally? I’m nervous, excited, overwhelmed, and in awe of everything that’s ahead. I’ve been given so much advice , and now I just feel ready to meet our son. It’s scary and beautiful all at once but I’m holding onto the joy of it. A Little Reminder No matter what season you’re in whether it’s building something, preparing for a new beginning, or just trying to keep up, remember that it’s okay to take breaks, to dance, to cry, and to celebrate along the way. The to-do list will always be there. But these moments? These are the ones that matter. Here’s to making space for them.

  • Insulation, Birthday Celebrations, and Nursery Prep Begins

We just wrapped up another productive house weekend, and this one felt like a big milestone. We made huge headway on punch list items  and finally started installing insulation  throughout the barndo. This part has been hanging over our heads for a while mostly because it’s such a physically demanding task but it felt amazing to actually get started and make progress. Let me be honest though: I was hurting . By Sunday night, I was so sore  I could barely move without wincing. My body let me know I had hit my limit, and I spent most of the evening recovering. Still, there’s nothing quite like that kind of pain... the kind that tells you you're building something real and moving closer to your goals. A Week of Meetings and Celebrating My Husband This week is shaping up to be both productive and meaningful. I have several client meetings and check-ins  scheduled, and I’m also celebrating my husband’s birthday ! Do we have solid plans? Honestly… not yet. But that’s kind of the beauty of being self-employed. I don’t have to ask for PTO or squeeze celebrations into evenings or weekends. If we decide to hit the lake, take a day trip, or just enjoy a nice dinner out, we can do that. And that freedom is something I never take for granted. Wednesday through Friday  is still a little up in the air. I’ve got my laptop, my notebook, and a running to-do list, but I’m also making space to just go with the flow and celebrate this week for what it is which is a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come, together. Making Room for Baby One of the most exciting parts of this week? We finally get to start the nursery ! Our nephew, who’s been living with us for the past year, officially moved out. While we’ve loved having him stay with us and it’s been a blessing to help him during this season of his life, we’re also thrilled to now have the room open and ready to become our baby’s space. This weekend we’re planning to start the real work: clearing the room , painting , prepping the closet for a full makeover, and bringing in some of the baby items  we’ve been storing away. It still feels surreal, but every time we work on the house or check off another task, it sinks in more and more: we’re getting closer . Between the house, the baby, and my businesses, I’ve had to become incredibly intentional with how I spend my time. I’m still onboarding new clients through the end of June and working hard to train my growing team  which is now up to seven amazing employees . That way, when maternity leave rolls around, things don’t fall through the cracks. It’s a lot to juggle and some days are definitely harder than others but it’s also a season of tremendous growth, change, and purpose. I’m in the thick of it right now, and while I may be sore, tired, and often running on snacks and to-do lists, I’m also so proud of what’s being built . Thanks for following along, cheering us on, and being a part of this journey. Whether you’re a client, a fellow entrepreneur, a friend, or someone just watching from the sidelines, your support means more than you know.
