My journey began back in October 2017, during my freshman year of college. I landed my first job at First Adventures Daycare & Preschool, where I quickly became immersed in the world of business administration. There, I saw firsthand how much support small business owners needed to tackle all the things they simply didn’t have time for. I realized that I loved being part of their success and found immense joy in helping them thrive.

While working at the daycare, I was referred to assist Busha’s Custom Cookies, a home-based bakery. This experience was transformative—I played a role in helping the business transition from a home kitchen to a storefront in Downtown Bryan, and my passion for supporting entrepreneurs grew even more. That opportunity led to yet another referral, this time to Ment Marketing & Creative Services, where I helped streamline financials for over 70 clients. These early experiences taught me that no task is too big or too small, and seeing the difference I could make only fueled my desire to do more.

The Story Behind Our Name
You might be wondering why I named the business ABJ Chapman Services. ABJ represents Alex, Brandy, and Jade—my family and the backbone of this journey. Alex, my dad, has a dream of joining the business after he retires, bringing his wealth of skills in plumbing, carpentry, and home repairs. Brandy, my mom, is the finance guru who taught me everything I know about managing finances. She handles most of the bookkeeping tasks and is certified in QuickBooks, ensuring our clients’ financials are in expert hands. Together, we’re a team dedicated to helping other business owners succeed.

My Coaching Journey
The journey into coaching didn’t happen overnight; it was a gradual evolution rooted in my desire to serve business owners on a deeper level. Initially, I included coaching as part of the support services I offered to my clients, helping them plan, prioritize, and stay organized. Seeing the positive impact of these sessions, I started offering coaching as an ongoing subscription. It quickly grew in popularity, but over time, I realized something was missing.
I noticed I was providing clients with help and guidance, but not always the tools they needed to be self-sufficient. I was doing much of the planning and tasks for them, but I hadn’t focused enough on empowering them to take control of their own processes. This was a disservice, as I wanted my clients to feel confident and capable of driving their own success.
That’s when I made a pivotal shift. Instead of just doing the work for them, I started to teach them how to use essential tools and frameworks, while holding them accountable. I developed the Framework for Success Program as a structured 90-day journey, designed to equip entrepreneurs with practical skills, goal-oriented routines, and sustainable strategies for growth. Through this program, I guide clients on how to create, manage, and refine their own systems, ensuring they have the knowledge and accountability to thrive long after our sessions end.
This approach has transformed the way I support business owners, giving them the resources and confidence they need to reach their fullest potential. Coaching isn’t just about doing the work; it’s about empowering entrepreneurs to take ownership of their journey.
