  • Finally Home: Reflections on Move-In Week

The Moment We Were Alone Oh, gosh, I cannot believe we made it. We finally moved into our new house. If you are not familiar, we moved in even though it is not completely finished. That is okay. We planned it that way. The first night, when everyone left the house and it was just us, it felt surreal. Almost unreal. There was a quietness that I have never experienced before. Just sitting there with my little family, it felt like a dream. We watched the new Avatar, laughed, and soaked in the moment. It was simple, yet perfect, and I would not trade that feeling for anything. Living in Nature Being here in the country is life-changing. The air feels cleaner, the grass is endless, and everything seems to slow down. Life has a different rhythm when you can open a window and hear nothing but birds and wind through the trees. Just being surrounded by nature makes every little thing feel more intentional, more alive. Looking out at our pond, seeing the sunrise over our 12 acres, I am reminded of how far we have come since buying this property back in 2021. It is peaceful. It is grounding. It is exactly what we dreamed it would be. The Move-In Challenge The move itself was stressful at the start. Tension was high as we tried to coordinate the logistics. But we regrouped, communicated, and got it done. Shockingly, we were able to pack everything into a single U-Haul and make it in one trip. Even in chaos, it is amazing what you can accomplish when you work as a team and stay calm. Moving into a home is one of those big life moments that tests patience, teamwork, and problem-solving all at once. We grew a lot through this process, not just in logistics, but in trust and patience with each other. Gratitude for the Journey I am so grateful for how God has guided and protected us throughout this process. Every element had to align perfectly, time, money, commitment from others, and it all came together. After four years of dreaming, planning, building, and working, being here finally feels surreal. This is a moment of reflection and thankfulness. All the late nights, the long drives, the work on the house, the decision-making, and even the stressful moments were worth it. I can honestly say it feels like a miracle to see it all come together. Lessons Learned The advice for this week is simple. You can do the hard things. Moving into a home that is not fully complete, juggling logistics, family, and life, was challenging. But delegating, practicing patience, and taking things one step at a time made it possible. Life will always test your limits, but these moments remind you that growth comes from tackling hard things. It is okay to not have everything perfect. It is okay to rely on others. It is okay to trust the process. Looking Ahead As we settle in, we will continue working on finishing the house. There is still more to do, but I am confident it will all come together. For now, I am focusing on being present, enjoying the quiet moments, and cherishing the first days in our home. Take the time to enjoy moments like this in your own life. Celebrate your wins, no matter how long the journey took, and trust that hard work, patience, and faith will get you there.

  • Move-In Week is Finally Here

The Journey Since September 2022 The week is finally here. It is move-in week. Honestly, I still need to book the U-Haul, but thinking about this moment brings back just how long this journey has been. Since September 2022, we have been building our house, and it has been an incredible ride. It has not been easy. There has been a lot of stress, not just in the construction itself but in personal relationships and family life. Building your own house is one of the most challenging projects you can take on, and it truly tests patience, teamwork, and endurance. Even with all of the challenges, I am beyond excited that the journey is nearing the end. We are finally reaching the point where all of our hard work is starting to pay off. Moving In May Not Be Perfect I want to be transparent. We are not moving in with everything fully complete. There may be no countertops, some plumbing fixtures may not be installed, and flooring might still be in progress. Delays have happened. Our local flooring company initially did not have a good account manager, which set us back a month. The cabinets were delayed because moving them requires two people. Often it was just my husband out there alone, or my dad and me, and there was no way I could lift the cabinets without risking damage. These delays pushed back countertops and flooring. Despite these setbacks, we are fine. We have the essentials to live, cook, and function. We can wash dishes, use water, and do the basics. Ideally, everything will be fully installed and finished by Saturday, but it may not be perfect. And that is okay. Why Moving Now Matters Moving in is important for several reasons. First, it saves us from paying an extra month of rent, which frees up money to put toward the house or pay down debt. Second, spending hours driving back and forth each day has been exhausting. Even two or three hours spent commuting to the house takes a big chunk of the day, so moving in allows us to focus our time more efficiently. Being on-site also lets us continue progressing without losing extra time. It is a necessary step even if the house is not 100 percent finished. Filling Our Home and the Registry Many people have asked about a registry and how they can help. We are incredibly grateful for anyone who wants to contribute. For context, everything beyond the exterior shell of the house has been paid in cash. This includes framing, HVAC, plumbing, doors, lights, and all other essentials. We have items we will leave behind for my brother as he moves in, and we will be managing an Airbnb over the next year. That means we need practical, updated items to fill the home and make it feel comfortable. We are not asking for handouts, but anything that helps us create a functional, beautiful home is deeply appreciated. You can find our registry HERE. Looking Ahead: Housewarming and Family Once we are settled, we plan to host a housewarming party, probably around October. By Thanksgiving, we want everything done to host our combined families and close friends. There is still a lot to complete, including the cat room, movie room, second guest bedroom, and pantry bedroom. It is a lot of work, but every step brings us closer to turning this house into a home. We are so grateful for the support we have received along the way, and we welcome your continued prayers as we navigate this final stretch.

  • Learning to Listen to Your Body and Keep Moving Forward

The Week Started Rough As I write this blog, I am extremely sick. I have been sick for ten days now, and no matter what I try, vitamins, cold medicine, flu medicine, I just cannot seem to shake it. It feels very similar to when I had COVID in the past. The fatigue, sore throat, and overall malaise just linger. Yesterday was the worst. I had shivers, could not sleep, and I am fairly certain I had a fever. My body finally forced me to slow down in a way I had been resisting. Jett has even picked up a little sniffle, which adds another layer to the week. Watching him feel under the weather, even just a little, makes me realize that life does not pause when we are sick. We still have responsibilities and commitments, and we have to figure out how to keep moving forward while also caring for ourselves and those we love. The Lesson About Rest I have to admit, I probably should have rested last week, but I did not. I pushed through Monday and Tuesday, attending meetings and forcing myself to keep working while taking a handful of medications to get through the days. By Friday and Saturday, I was physically working on the house. I did labor and heavy lifting, thinking I could just push through it. Sunday came, and my body gave out completely. I had shivers and extreme fatigue, and I knew I had ignored all the warning signs. This week has been a stark reminder that listening to your body is not optional. It is essential. Pushing too hard delays recovery and adds stress, making everything else feel more chaotic. Now, I am allowing myself a full day of recovery so the week ahead can be manageable. House Progress and Excitement Even while under the weather, the house is coming together beautifully. Flooring has started in the great room, and the entire living room is complete. Baseboards and door trims are painted and installed. The cabinets and sink are in place, and the details that turn a house into a home are falling into place. We are even taking care of the less glamorous tasks, like handling the black widows and scorpions that have made themselves at home. Move-in is only two weeks away, and although packing has not progressed, it is exciting to see the vision we have been building for so long starting to feel real. It is a mixture of anticipation and satisfaction to see the home nearing completion. Business Wins and Growth In the business world, things are thriving. Despite being sick and falling a little behind, we are keeping up with client work and accomplishing more than I expected. Growth is exciting, but it also brings new decisions. I have been thinking more about hiring a full-time employee. Right now, we have two full-time team members and several part-timers and contractors. Bringing someone on full-time feels like a big leap, but it may be necessary to sustain growth and continue delivering at the level we want. It is intimidating, but it is also an exciting step forward for the business. Reflections and Lessons Learned This week has been a reminder of the importance of balance. Ignoring the signals from your body does not make the work go away. It only creates more stress and delays progress. Even while sick, I have learned to celebrate the wins, both in the business and in the house. Delegation, trusting your team, and allowing yourself to rest are all crucial elements of sustainable growth. It is a lesson I hope I will carry forward for the rest of this year and beyond. Looking Ahead Next week, my goal is full recovery, continued progress on the house, and careful steps toward growing the business in a sustainable way. Life will always have challenges, but balance, patience, and intentional action allow us to keep moving forward without feeling completely overwhelmed. Even in sickness, chaos, and uncertainty, there is growth, progress, and excitement when we honor both our limits and our goals.

  • Catching Up, Growing, and Navigating New Realities

Back from the Dominican Republic It’s hard to believe it’s already been two weeks since we skipped a blog post while in the Dominican Republic for a wedding. That trip was such a beautiful reset. Sun, ocean, and the joy of celebrating love but coming back, reality hit fast. The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of catching up on work, recovering from getting a little sick, and reorganizing the business for the next month. It’s one of those times where you feel stretched in every direction, but also reminded how much growth comes from showing up consistently. Even when life feels messy, momentum is built in small steps and steady effort. House Progress and Bringing in Extra Hands This week is another big house week. The excitement is building because we’re getting help from some current and past athletes. Having extra hands and energy around will hopefully move things along a little faster, and it’s such a relief to not do it all alone. Watching people step in to help is such a reminder of the power of delegation. In both business and life, you can only scale when you trust others to contribute, share the load, and keep moving toward the bigger picture. The house is coming together slowly but surely, and every small milestone feels like a win. New Clients, New Energy We also have new clients starting this week, which is always energizing. Onboarding is one of my favorite parts of the business because it’s the moment where systems and preparation really pay off. Even when things feel overwhelming, seeing the process in action reminds me that structure, clear communication, and trust in your team make growth manageable. Every client adds to the story of the business, and it’s exciting to watch the journey unfold. Business Lesson: Overwhelm is Temporary Here’s a key takeaway from this week: whenever you feel overwhelmed, especially when you’re catching up on backlogs or new systems, remind yourself it will take time to get everything done. You don’t have to rush. For me, catching up took from Wednesday to Saturday, and I’m still smoothing things out on Sunday. That’s okay. Progress matters more than perfection, and patience is a tool just as important as any business strategy. Overwhelm is temporary when you have a plan and a mindset to tackle one step at a time. Life Updates and Reflection Life is feeling a little different lately, and I ask for prayers as we navigate this new reality. There are changes that I hope are temporary, but even in uncertainty, I’m learning to lean on faith, family, and trusted support. It’s moments like these that remind me to slow down, breathe, and acknowledge the wins, both big and small. Even when life feels chaotic, taking time to reflect helps me stay grounded and focused. Looking Ahead Next week, we will continue progressing on the house, onboarding clients, and making adjustments to keep everything moving smoothly. The goal is to stay intentional about our energy, celebrate small wins, and continue growing without burning out. Chaos will always be part of the process, but confidence, patience, and clear priorities make it navigable. Growth is messy, exciting, and sometimes uncomfortable, but it’s always worth it.

  • Hitting Goals and Pouring Into Your Cup

The Week in Business This week was busy with onboarding two new clients. We’ve already hit our 2026 goals and it’s only halfway through the year. My immediate thought: do we try to hit our 2027 goal? Can we do it? Who knows. It doesn’t hurt to try. The growth is exciting and a little overwhelming, but it reminds me that showing up consistently, trusting my team, and staying focused on the systems we’ve built makes big goals achievable. Travel on the Horizon We are gearing up to head out of the country for a wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I can’t wait to share pictures. There is so much packing to do, but I’m excited for another break. After this trip, we have a river trip planned and then no travel until 2027. I’m already dreaming about fall trips, so if you have ideas, send them my way. House Updates At home, we are game planning the next steps. Packing boxes, gearing up to install the final big things like cabinets, countertops, and floors. It’s getting exciting to see everything come together. Watching the house progress is such a mix of anticipation and satisfaction. It reminds me to celebrate milestones, even the small ones. Pouring Into Your Cup This week, burnout started to creep in. I could feel it coming and immediately took action. I left home with Jett and went to the in-laws for the weekend. They spoiled me, fed me, and helped with Jett. It’s a simple but powerful reminder: take care of yourself. Pour into your cup first so you can show up fully at work, at home, and in life. Burnout is easier to avoid than recover from, so make rest a priority. Looking Ahead Next week, I am heading into business and life feeling recharged and focused. We’ll continue onboarding clients, progress on the house, and make plans for travel. Growth and life will always push us in multiple directions. The key is balancing action with rest, celebrating wins, and trusting the process along the way.

  • Finding Light in the Middle of Chaos

The Week Started Heavy This past week was absolutely insane. I started Monday feeling completely overwhelmed, thinking, “Dang, business is busy. It’s hard.” By the end of the week, though, I felt light again. I didn’t get everything done I wanted, but I still felt capable, confident, and ready to keep going. Momentum isn’t about finishing everything. It’s about showing up and trusting you can handle what’s next. Life at Home is Coming Together At home, things are moving fast. Almost all the ceiling fixtures are installed, the walls are almost painted, and the house is starting to feel real. We’ve ordered almost everything else besides the flooring and countertops, which will likely be our last big expenses. It is exciting and terrifying all at once to see the vision we’ve built start to come to life. Some days, it feels like it is all too much. Other days, I pause and remind myself that some things are out of my control and that is okay. The Internet Went Out and I Needed It Thursday was a real test. The Internet went out, and my personal hotspot didn’t work. I couldn’t send pictures, FaceTime, or do client work the way I planned. At first, it felt like the day was ruined. I was frustrated and annoyed. But 24 hours later, I realized it was exactly what I needed, a forced break. On Friday, I caught up while picking up and dropping off our tub, so the interruption ended up being a reset. The lesson is to not let things ruin your day. Pause, breathe, and ask yourself if your frustration is really worth it in the long run. Watching Jett Grow Jett is keeping life lively. He is crawling everywhere now, full speed from one side of the room to the other. It is thrilling and scary all at once. He is also obsessed with reading. He carefully turns the pages of Pout Pout Fish, smacks them with excitement, and watches the story unfold. Seeing him learn and grow so quickly is both humbling and inspiring. It is a reminder to celebrate the small wins, even in the middle of chaos. Business is Moving Fast Work is moving quickly too. My team continues to step up in incredible ways, and the business is growing faster than I could have imagined. Scaling, delegating, and trusting my team is allowing us to handle more than I thought possible. If you have been hesitant about taking the next step or booking a consult for your business, we have multiple plans designed to fit your needs. Do not wait. Now is the time to move forward confidently. Looking Ahead Next week, I am heading into work and home life feeling grounded and energized. The house will continue to come together, the team will keep growing, and the business will keep moving forward. This week reminded me that light and confidence can exist even in chaos. Life will always throw curveballs, but how we respond determines the progress we make.

  • The Power of Finally Having Time to Think Bigger

The Shift I’ve Been Waiting For This week, something finally happened that I have been working toward for a very long time. I had time to think. Not just survive the day. Not just answer emails. Not just onboard clients or knock out tasks. I actually had space in my brain to think bigger. And honestly, it felt amazing. More and more every single day, I am delegating, delegating, and delegating again. I am trying to remove as many small tasks from my plate as humanly possible and keep myself focused only on the things that truly require me. The “Jade tasks.” The things only I can do. And this week, I finally started feeling the payoff from that. When the Noise Finally Quietens Down One of the hardest parts about scaling a business is that growth creates noise. Good noise. But still noise. New clients. New onboarding. New tasks. New fires. New systems. And when you are constantly buried in tiny tasks, your big visionary ideas never get room to breathe. This week, because my team stepped up so much, I actually had free time to work on ABJ, MVP, and CBJ. I got to sit down and think about the bigger picture. And wow. It is crazy how quickly those “someday” ideas start becoming real when your brain is no longer clouded with constant operational chaos. My Advice to Business Owners This Week This is the biggest thing I want business owners to understand right now. You have to intentionally create time for growth. I coach this all the time. I preach it constantly. But even for me, it is incredibly hard to do. Because right now we are growing fast. We are onboarding clients nonstop. We are scaling quickly. And I am so thankful for that. Truly. But growth can also trap you if you are not careful. You can become so busy serving clients and managing operations that you never get the chance to build the next version of your business. That is dangerous. Because the visionary ideas are what push the business forward long term. Breaking Big Ideas Into Smaller Ones One thing I realized this week is that most big ideas only feel overwhelming because you are staring at them as one giant mountain. The second I started breaking them down into smaller action steps, everything changed. Instead of thinking: “How will I ever launch this?” I started thinking: “What can I complete this week?” And suddenly those ideas started feeling achievable. Now I have goals I genuinely believe I can accomplish by the end of the quarter, and that feeling is energizing. Balancing Business Growth and Real Life At the same time, my personal life has been absolutely insane lately. We are gearing up for international travel for a wedding. We are trying to finish the house enough to move in soon. We are balancing parenting, business, and life all at once. The house is not fully done yet. We may not even have all the floors and baseboards completed before moving in. But we are getting closer to that point where it becomes livable, and honestly, that matters more right now than perfection. On top of that, we are trying to make time for the good things too. Mother’s Day. My mom’s birthday. Our anniversary. Life keeps moving while business grows, and sometimes it feels impossible to fit everything in. Something Big Is Coming One of the things I worked on this week was a brand new venture with another business owner. We officially launch on Monday. I am not saying too much yet, but if you are a business owner or leader in our community, you are going to want to pay attention. I am incredibly excited about this partnership because it aligns so much with what I believe in. Community. Leadership. Growth. Connection. And honestly? I will always believe in multiple streams of income. Always. This is another avenue, another opportunity, and another exciting step forward. The Importance of Stepping Into the Visionary Role This week reminded me that the owner role is not supposed to be buried in every tiny task. The owner role is to think ahead. Build relationships. Create opportunities. Develop systems. Cast vision. That is where real scaling happens. And while I am still learning how to fully step into that role, I finally feel like I am getting glimpses of what this business can truly become when I have the space to think bigger. Looking Ahead The next few weeks are going to be busy in every area of life. Travel. Business growth. House projects. New ventures. But for the first time in a long time, I do not feel buried by it all. I feel excited. Excited because I can finally see the vision more clearly. Excited because my team is growing stronger. Excited because the ideas I have carried for years are finally starting to become real. And this is only the beginning.

  • Faith Over Fear in Business

When Business Feels Good This week felt good. Not just busy. Not just productive. But genuinely good. The kind of week where you pause for a second and think, how did I get here? Because if I am being honest, there have been so many seasons where things did not feel this way. Seasons where money was tight, where I questioned my decisions, where I did not know what the next step was or how something was going to work out. And yet, every single time, it did. The One Thing That Never Changes When I look back on those moments, there is one constant. Faith. There have been countless times where I had no logical reason to believe things would work out, but I chose to trust God anyway. And every time I leaned into that trust instead of fear, something shifted. Opportunities showed up. Money came in. Doors opened. Not always how I expected, but always in a way that moved me forward. I truly believe that the life I am living right now is a direct result of that trust. Business and Faith Go Together I know not everyone talks about this in business, but for me, it is everything. Being a business owner and being a Christian are not separate parts of my life. They are completely intertwined. Every decision I make, every risk I take, every goal I set is rooted in my faith. I was raised in the church. My dad is a pastor. I have been surrounded by this my entire life. And while I am not perfect and I do not claim to know everything, I know this. When I try to control everything, I feel overwhelmed. When I surrender and trust, things flow. Intention Matters Something I saw recently stuck with me. It was talking about how when you are working for the right reasons, when you are serving others, when your intentions are genuine, the outcome is different. And that aligns so much with what I have experienced. I did not start this business just to make money. I started it because I wanted to help people. I wanted to support business owners who felt overwhelmed and stuck. And because of that, I have seen blessings come from places I never expected. I do not believe that is luck. I believe that is alignment. Bringing Faith Into Business Without Forcing It When I coach or work with clients, I do not push faith on anyone. That is not my role. But when the opportunity comes up, I do not shy away from it either. Because for me, it is real. It is how I operate. It is how I stay grounded when things get chaotic. Even if it is just a reminder to trust the process, to stay calm, to not let fear take over, those principles are rooted in something deeper for me. Gratitude for This Season Right now, I am living a life I once dreamed about. Growing a business. Helping clients. Building a team. Supporting my family. And I know without a doubt that I would not be here without God. There is too much that has worked out, too many doors that have opened, too many moments that made no logical sense for me to believe it was all just coincidence. Business Advice of the Week If you are in a season of uncertainty, this is your reminder. You do not have to have everything figured out. Focus on your intentions. Focus on serving people well. Stay consistent in your work. And whatever your version of faith looks like, lean into it. Because business is not just strategy. It is mindset. It is trust. It is belief in something bigger than yourself. When you stop operating from fear and start operating from trust, everything changes. Looking Ahead This next season is about continuing to grow, continuing to serve, and continuing to trust the process. I know there will be challenges. There always are. But I also know I am not walking through it alone. And that makes all the difference.

  • Growth, Growing Pains, and Doing It Anyway

A Week That Flew By This week flew by, but in the best possible way. Coming back from the conference and playing catch up actually ended up being fun. It took about a full week to get fully back into rhythm, clear out the inbox, and get projects moving again, but once we got there, everything clicked. Business is thriving. We made another hire. And I am not slowing down anytime soon. I have a 10 year goal of hitting about $1.2M in revenue, and I mean it when I say I will not stop until we get there. Growth Comes With Growing Pains With all of this growth, there are real growing pains. This week, I had a team member come to me and say they were ready to quit. And honestly, I understood. The workload has increased. The client base has grown. And coming back from the conference where they were essentially running the show, it was a lot. So we regrouped. We talked through everything, adjusted where needed, and I stepped in on Friday to support them, even though I had planned to be off. That is just who I am as a leader. I will always put my team and my clients above myself. Not because I have to, but because I want to. I am building this company out of passion and a genuine love for helping people. At the same time, I am very intentional about protecting my team. I want them to take time off. I want them to go on vacation. I want them to have work life balance. Because if they are taken care of, the business is taken care of. The Reality of Investing Back Into the House On the personal side, this week came with a big financial reality check. We spent a lot of money finishing out the house. Plumbing fixtures, speakers, fireplace, baseboards, trim, sinks, toilets, including one very fancy toilet. The list goes on. And yes, the price tag hurt. But it also hit me that we are that much closer to moving in. We also bought a shop vac and a commercial mop, which means we are officially entering the cleaning phase. That alone feels like a milestone. I even started mapping out a packing plan, and I will be honest, I am not excited about that part at all. Getting Serious About Finances Another big focus this quarter is paying off debt. And this week, we made major progress. By the end of this quarter, I will have paid off two maxed out credit cards. Yes, you read that right. You can be doing well in business and still have areas in your finances that need attention. For me, I was prioritizing savings and building a cushion in my HYSA, but I was neglecting the credit cards. So we made a shift. We pulled from savings and knocked them out. It hurt. I love having a cushion. But the interest rates were hurting me more. Now we have two more cards to tackle, and the goal is to have everything paid off by the end of the year. Progress over perfection. A 24 Hour Bridal Shower This weekend, I did something that honestly made me laugh. I planned an entire bridal shower in 24 hours. Full vision. Full execution. Done. That is just how my brain works. When I see something, I can bring it to life quickly. It did make me pause and think… should we add event planning to our services? Kidding. Kind of. What This Week Taught Me If I had to sum up this week, it would be this. Growth is exciting. But it is also heavy. You are managing people. You are managing clients. You are managing money. You are managing expectations. And sometimes all of that hits at once. Business Advice of the Week Do not wait until things feel perfect to make decisions. Hire before you feel ready. Support your team when they are overwhelmed. Fix your finances even when it hurts. Step in when needed, but keep building systems so you do not have to forever. And most importantly, remember why you started. If you are building from a place of passion and purpose, the hard weeks will still feel worth it. Looking Ahead We are growing fast, and I can feel the momentum building. More clients. More systems. More structure. More responsibility. But also more opportunity. This next phase is about continuing to scale while taking care of the people who make it all possible. And I am ready for it.

  • Two Weeks Away, A Full Inbox, and Choosing Trust Over Fear

Did You Miss Me? We skipped a full week of the blog and newsletter, and wow… it has been a whirlwind. I was gone from Tuesday, April 7th all the way until now as I’m writing this. Between the conference, the cruise, and jumping straight back into a house building weekend the second I got home, I am exhausted. And behind. But not in the way I used to think about being behind. The Inbox Comeback Today was all about damage control in the best way possible. I sat down and started chipping away at my email inbox. We went from around 200 emails down to about 20. Not bad for being gone two full weeks. If you are one of the people still waiting on a response from me, you will hear from me by the end of the week. I am making my way through everything one step at a time. And honestly, I feel good about it. The Mental Battle No One Sees Here is the real part no one talks about. When you step away from your business for two weeks, your mind starts playing games with you. I came back with this immediate thought. “I’m failing my clients.” I am known for being responsive. I pride myself on quick turnarounds, clear communication, and getting things done efficiently. That is part of the value I bring and part of what clients expect. So when I took two weeks off and barely touched my laptop, it felt like I was letting people down. Even though I knew I needed the break. Even though I knew my team had things handled. Even though I knew logically everything would be fine. That feeling still crept in. The Truth About Client Loyalty But then I reminded myself of something that every business owner needs to hear. Loyal clients stay loyal. The clients who trust you, respect you, and value your work are not going to leave because you took a two week vacation. My longest client relationships are going on nine years. Nine. That does not happen because I respond to every email within hours. It happens because of trust, consistency, and results over time. And those same clients are the ones referring new business, supporting growth, and helping build something sustainable. If someone is going to leave because you took time off, they were never a long term client to begin with. That realization is freeing. Choosing Progress Over Panic So instead of letting that fear take over, I made a decision. No panic. No spiraling. No overthinking. Just action. I am working through my list. Responding to emails. Handling tasks. Moving forward one step at a time. And trusting that my clients will still receive the same level of service they expect from me, even if it is slightly delayed this week. Because consistency over time matters more than perfection in one moment. Jett Updates That Explain Everything In Jett news, we hit a big milestone. He has his first tooth. It broke through while we were at the conference, and suddenly everything made sense. The fussiness, the clinginess, all of it. He has also been loving life lately. He is walking around with assistance. He tried so many new foods on the cruise. He is obsessed with being outside. And he is officially a beach baby. Which honestly feels very on brand for him. House Progress and Letting Go of the Timeline On the house front, we are almost done priming and getting ready to purchase paint. Which is exciting… and expensive. We are now about a full month behind schedule, which pushes our move in date closer to June. And for the first time, I am not stressing about it. It will happen when it happens. The house is getting done. Progress is being made. And forcing a timeline is not going to change the reality of what still needs to be completed. So I am letting go of the pressure and just focusing on moving forward. Looking Ahead This week is all about getting back into rhythm. Finishing emails. Reconnecting with clients. Getting projects moving again. But doing it from a place of clarity instead of chaos. If there is one thing I want you to take from this week, it is this. You are allowed to step away. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to come back slowly. The right clients will stay. The right systems will hold. And the work will always be there when you return. Now it is time to get back to it.

  • Behind Schedule, Still Moving Forward

The Reality Check This Week Well… we are officially behind on the house. And not just a little behind. We are about four weeks behind schedule. It started when my husband had an opportunity come up to build a pickleball court. Since he has prior experience with sports courts, it was a great opportunity and one he should have taken. But it pulled two full weeks away from house progress. Then I made a mistake. I completely failed to account for the two weeks we would be gone for the conference and cruise. So just like that, two weeks turned into four. And now we are here. Managing the Stress Without Letting It Take Over I would be lying if I said it is not stressing me out. We had a timeline. We had a plan. I had a vision of moving in the weekend of our three year anniversary. And now that is not happening. It is looking more like the end of May. That is hard to accept when you have been working toward something for so long. But I keep reminding myself of something important. It is okay. The house will still get done. We will still move in. Nothing is actually wrong. The timeline just shifted. And sometimes, that is just part of the process. The Business Lesson in All of This If there is one thing this week has reinforced, it is this. It is okay to make mistakes. I missed a major planning detail. I did not account for time correctly. And now we are adjusting because of it. But life goes on. The business does not fall apart. The house does not disappear. The progress does not reset to zero. We just shift, adjust, and keep moving. As business owners, we put so much pressure on ourselves to get everything right the first time. To plan perfectly. To execute flawlessly. That is not real life. Real growth comes from learning how to recover quickly when things do not go according to plan. Preparing to Step Away While all of this is happening, I am also preparing to head to Orlando for a conference, followed by a post conference cruise. And honestly, I am really excited. This trip feels like the perfect break from the day to day. A chance to learn, reset, and step away from the constant movement of work and house projects. I am looking forward to new ideas, new connections, and just being in a different environment for a bit. Sometimes stepping away is exactly what you need to come back stronger. Looking Ahead Yes, we are behind. Yes, it is not what I originally planned. But we are still moving forward. The house is still being built. The business is still growing. Life is still good. This next stretch will be about staying flexible, adjusting expectations, and continuing to make progress one step at a time. Because at the end of the day, progress matters more than perfection.

  • Delegating, Leading, and Finally Feeling the Shift

A Week That Felt Different This past week was busy, but more than anything, it was transformative. For the first time, I can truly feel the shift happening inside my business. Not just growth in clients or revenue, but a real shift in how the work is getting done. We have been delegating like crazy in preparation for my upcoming trip, and it is working. I am watching my team pick up more responsibility, take ownership, and move things forward without needing me in every single step. That has always been the goal, but it is different when you actually start to feel it happening in real time. Stepping Into the Owner Role This upcoming trip is not really a vacation. I will be at a conference, learning, connecting, and still working. But what makes it exciting is knowing I can step away and my team will carry the load for our clients. That is the whole point. When I think about longevity and where I want this business to go, I know that by the end of the year I need to be fully in the owner role. Not the do everything role. Not the fix everything role. The owner. And that requires continued delegation, continued training, and continued trust in my team. This week was proof that we are on the right track. Systems Are Finally Clicking One of the coolest things I noticed this week was how smooth our onboarding process has become. As my team has taken on new clients, I have seen a shift in how things are handled. Our systems are stronger. Our processes are cleaner. The flow feels easier. And a big part of that is my team speaking up. They are giving feedback. They are making recommendations. They are improving the way we do things. That is when you know you are building something real. When it is not just you driving everything forward, but a team that is actively making the business better. I am no longer deep in every onboarding. I am showing up to meetings, checking in with clients, and passing along key information to my team. I almost feel hands off. And for the first time, that feels really good. Growth Means Rewarding Your Team Another big milestone this week was giving out raises. Not just shifting someone from hourly to salary, but truly recognizing the people who are stepping up, leading, and managing others. It is a surreal moment as a business owner when you realize your team is not just executing tasks. They are leading. They are thinking. They are owning their roles. Being able to reward that is one of the most fulfilling parts of growth. And it motivates me even more to keep building something where we can continue to give raises, bonuses, and opportunities to the people who are helping make this business what it is. Finding Balance as a Mom and Business Owner On the personal side, I have been really intentional about shifting away from working long extra hours and spending more time with Jett. And it has made a huge difference. I can tell he is enjoying it. We are spending more time together, and I feel more present. He has also been going through a bit of a phase. Possibly sleep regression, possibly teething, possibly adjusting to formula as we have been testing different options. It has been a mix of everything. So being able to step in more as mom and adjust my schedule has been important. This season is teaching me that balance is not perfect. It is flexible. It is adjusting in real time to what is needed most. Preparing for the Conference This week has also been a lot of prep for my upcoming conference trip. There are so many small details that go into traveling with a baby when you are not just going from airport to resort like we did with Disney. This trip involves more movement, more logistics, and more planning. Right now, I am figuring out transportation, car seat options, and what will be the most efficient and cost effective way to move around while we are there. If you have any tips, send them my way because I am deep in research mode trying to make the best decision. A Simple Reminder The weather lately has been so nice, and it has been a good reminder to step outside and enjoy it. We get so caught up in work, growth, and everything on our plates that we forget to just go outside, move around, and enjoy where we are. Before it gets unbearably hot, take advantage of it. Looking Ahead I am walking into this next week feeling confident. Confident in my team. Confident in our systems. Confident in where this business is going. We are building something scalable. Something sustainable. Something that does not depend on me being involved in every single detail. And that is the goal. This next season is about continuing to delegate, continuing to grow, and fully stepping into the role I have been working toward all along.
