Delegating, Leading, and Finally Feeling the Shift

A Week That Felt Different

This past week was busy, but more than anything, it was transformative.

For the first time, I can truly feel the shift happening inside my business. Not just growth in clients or revenue, but a real shift in how the work is getting done.

We have been delegating like crazy in preparation for my upcoming trip, and it is working.

I am watching my team pick up more responsibility, take ownership, and move things forward without needing me in every single step. That has always been the goal, but it is different when you actually start to feel it happening in real time.

Stepping Into the Owner Role

This upcoming trip is not really a vacation. I will be at a conference, learning, connecting, and still working. But what makes it exciting is knowing I can step away and my team will carry the load for our clients.

That is the whole point.

When I think about longevity and where I want this business to go, I know that by the end of the year I need to be fully in the owner role. Not the do everything role. Not the fix everything role. The owner.

And that requires continued delegation, continued training, and continued trust in my team.

This week was proof that we are on the right track.

Systems Are Finally Clicking

One of the coolest things I noticed this week was how smooth our onboarding process has become.

As my team has taken on new clients, I have seen a shift in how things are handled. Our systems are stronger. Our processes are cleaner. The flow feels easier.

And a big part of that is my team speaking up.

They are giving feedback. They are making recommendations. They are improving the way we do things.

That is when you know you are building something real. When it is not just you driving everything forward, but a team that is actively making the business better.

I am no longer deep in every onboarding. I am showing up to meetings, checking in with clients, and passing along key information to my team.

I almost feel hands off.

And for the first time, that feels really good.

Growth Means Rewarding Your Team

Another big milestone this week was giving out raises.

Not just shifting someone from hourly to salary, but truly recognizing the people who are stepping up, leading, and managing others.

It is a surreal moment as a business owner when you realize your team is not just executing tasks. They are leading. They are thinking. They are owning their roles.

Being able to reward that is one of the most fulfilling parts of growth.

And it motivates me even more to keep building something where we can continue to give raises, bonuses, and opportunities to the people who are helping make this business what it is.

Finding Balance as a Mom and Business Owner

On the personal side, I have been really intentional about shifting away from working long extra hours and spending more time with Jett.

And it has made a huge difference.

I can tell he is enjoying it. We are spending more time together, and I feel more present.

He has also been going through a bit of a phase. Possibly sleep regression, possibly teething, possibly adjusting to formula as we have been testing different options. It has been a mix of everything.

So being able to step in more as mom and adjust my schedule has been important.

This season is teaching me that balance is not perfect. It is flexible. It is adjusting in real time to what is needed most.

Preparing for the Conference

This week has also been a lot of prep for my upcoming conference trip.

There are so many small details that go into traveling with a baby when you are not just going from airport to resort like we did with Disney. This trip involves more movement, more logistics, and more planning.

Right now, I am figuring out transportation, car seat options, and what will be the most efficient and cost effective way to move around while we are there.

If you have any tips, send them my way because I am deep in research mode trying to make the best decision.

A Simple Reminder

The weather lately has been so nice, and it has been a good reminder to step outside and enjoy it.

We get so caught up in work, growth, and everything on our plates that we forget to just go outside, move around, and enjoy where we are.

Before it gets unbearably hot, take advantage of it.

Looking Ahead

I am walking into this next week feeling confident.

Confident in my team.

Confident in our systems.

Confident in where this business is going.

We are building something scalable. Something sustainable. Something that does not depend on me being involved in every single detail.

And that is the goal.

This next season is about continuing to delegate, continuing to grow, and fully stepping into the role I have been working toward all along.
