Growth, Growing Pains, and Doing It Anyway

A Week That Flew By

This week flew by, but in the best possible way.

Coming back from the conference and playing catch up actually ended up being fun. It took about a full week to get fully back into rhythm, clear out the inbox, and get projects moving again, but once we got there, everything clicked.

Business is thriving. We made another hire. And I am not slowing down anytime soon.

I have a 10 year goal of hitting about $1.2M in revenue, and I mean it when I say I will not stop until we get there.

Growth Comes With Growing Pains

With all of this growth, there are real growing pains.

This week, I had a team member come to me and say they were ready to quit.

And honestly, I understood.

The workload has increased. The client base has grown. And coming back from the conference where they were essentially running the show, it was a lot.

So we regrouped.

We talked through everything, adjusted where needed, and I stepped in on Friday to support them, even though I had planned to be off.

That is just who I am as a leader.

I will always put my team and my clients above myself. Not because I have to, but because I want to. I am building this company out of passion and a genuine love for helping people.

At the same time, I am very intentional about protecting my team.

I want them to take time off.

I want them to go on vacation.

I want them to have work life balance.

Because if they are taken care of, the business is taken care of.

The Reality of Investing Back Into the House

On the personal side, this week came with a big financial reality check.

We spent a lot of money finishing out the house.

Plumbing fixtures, speakers, fireplace, baseboards, trim, sinks, toilets, including one very fancy toilet. The list goes on.

And yes, the price tag hurt.

But it also hit me that we are that much closer to moving in.

We also bought a shop vac and a commercial mop, which means we are officially entering the cleaning phase. That alone feels like a milestone.

I even started mapping out a packing plan, and I will be honest, I am not excited about that part at all.

Getting Serious About Finances

Another big focus this quarter is paying off debt.

And this week, we made major progress.

By the end of this quarter, I will have paid off two maxed out credit cards.

Yes, you read that right.

You can be doing well in business and still have areas in your finances that need attention.

For me, I was prioritizing savings and building a cushion in my HYSA, but I was neglecting the credit cards.

So we made a shift.

We pulled from savings and knocked them out.

It hurt. I love having a cushion. But the interest rates were hurting me more.

Now we have two more cards to tackle, and the goal is to have everything paid off by the end of the year.

Progress over perfection.

A 24 Hour Bridal Shower

This weekend, I did something that honestly made me laugh.

I planned an entire bridal shower in 24 hours.

Full vision. Full execution. Done.

That is just how my brain works. When I see something, I can bring it to life quickly.

It did make me pause and think… should we add event planning to our services?

Kidding. Kind of.

What This Week Taught Me

If I had to sum up this week, it would be this.

Growth is exciting. But it is also heavy.

You are managing people.

You are managing clients.

You are managing money.

You are managing expectations.

And sometimes all of that hits at once.

Business Advice of the Week

Do not wait until things feel perfect to make decisions.

Hire before you feel ready.

Support your team when they are overwhelmed.

Fix your finances even when it hurts.

Step in when needed, but keep building systems so you do not have to forever.

And most importantly, remember why you started.

If you are building from a place of passion and purpose, the hard weeks will still feel worth it.

Looking Ahead

We are growing fast, and I can feel the momentum building.

More clients.

More systems.

More structure.

More responsibility.

But also more opportunity.

This next phase is about continuing to scale while taking care of the people who make it all possible.

And I am ready for it.
