Overwhelmed, Blessed, and Still Catching Up

Three Baby Showers, One Tired Mama
This week has been one for the books. We’re officially home after a whirlwind of travel, baby showers, and unpacking all the sweet gifts for baby Jett. We had our all our baby showers back to back, which means we’ve been hauling, organizing, washing, folding, and still finding places for everything.
To say we’re overwhelmed in the best way would be an understatement. It’s a full-circle moment to see how loved this little boy already is and how many people are excited to meet him. I’m deeply grateful for this season of generosity and community, even if it means our washer and dryer haven’t gotten a break all week.
Business Catch-Up Mode Activated
At the same time, business came back full force. This week was stacked with meetings, consults, and strategy sessions including our quarterly State of the Company meeting with the team.
It’s weeks like this that remind me how real the entrepreneurial rollercoaster is. After some slower weeks in July, I thought I’d be easing back in. Not quite.
Between tying up client projects, making key decisions, and juggling team trainings, the week felt like a blur. I kept thinking, “How is it only Wednesday?” and then somehow, “How is it already Friday?”
Cankles, Closets, and Countdown to Baby
We’re officially on baby watch. I got the all-clear from my doctor to start trying all the natural induction methods, and let me tell you, the cankles are awful, the weight is heavy, and I cannot wait to meet Jett.
The nursery is semi put together (the keyword being semi). The main area looks great, but that closet? I’m avoiding it like the plague. It’s packed with things we still need to go through, but it’s just not the priority right now and that’s okay.
One major win this week was catching up on our postpartum meal prep. We were way behind, and my husband’s parents saved the day over the weekend by packing our freezer with meals. That was a huge stress lifted, and I’m so grateful.
Delegation and Team Trust
One thing I’m proud of this week: I continued delegating. I’m actively passing off more responsibilities to the team not just for the sake of my upcoming maternity leave, but because that’s how a business scales.
Every training, every SOP, every moment of mentoring is a long-term investment in the kind of company I want to build, one that runs smoothly with or without me at the wheel every second.
My team is stepping up, and I’m learning to step back when I need to. It’s not always easy, but it’s necessary. And it’s working.
Grace Over Guilt
I’m still playing catch-up. I’m not going to pretend otherwise.
There are emails I haven’t answered yet. Tasks that didn’t make it off the list. Projects that are a little behind schedule. But here’s the thing... that’s okay.
If you’re in a similar season of overwhelm, here’s your reminder:
Communicate with your clients.
Let them know you’re actively catching up.
Be clear, be honest, and be responsive.
Most clients aren’t upset about timing, they’re frustrated by silence. The work can wait if the communication doesn’t. Being present and proactive builds far more trust than pretending everything is on time when it’s not.
Looking Ahead
This week, I’m doubling down on clarity for myself, my team, and my clients. I’m choosing structure over stress. Progress over perfection. And yes, grace over guilt. Always.
We’re getting closer every day. Jett will be here soon, the business is growing, and I’m soaking in the last few weeks of this wild, beautiful, exhausting season.
See you next week.
