A Week Dedicated to Catching Up
This past week was all about childcare, focus, and getting major projects off my plate. I spent the entire week out of town so I could work uninterrupted while still having help with Jett.
It was exactly what I needed.
On Monday I worked 9.5 hours. Tuesday was 13.5. Wednesday was 10.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel truly caught up.
Business is thriving, projects are moving, and I finally have the mental clarity that comes from sitting down and knocking out the work that has been sitting and waiting. Sometimes you just need to change your environment and let someone else help with the baby so you can reset your workflow.
A Thought I Keep Coming Back To
While driving this week, I caught myself thinking about my long term goal. Since I was young, I have always said I want to be a millionaire by 30.
And if I am honest, I still want that.
Across all three companies, it is possible. I just need to keep growing, scaling, hiring, refining, and stepping into the CEO role more aggressively.
Maybe I do need to write a full blog on the plan and the mindset behind that goal. Because the deeper I get into entrepreneurship, the more possible it feels.
A Perfect Weekend at Dickens on the Strand
I stayed in Galveston one extra day so I could go with family and friends to Dickens on the Strand. And let me just say, it exceeded all expectations.
Here is my quick review:
The atmosphere is magical. Think Victorian costumes, live performers, carolers, and the kind of old world charm that makes you forget about your phone for a minute.
The vendors are amazing. Handmade goods, unique art, holiday treats, costumes, jewelry, and just about anything you could want for the Christmas season.
The food is chef’s kiss. Warm cider, festival snacks, and so many options if you love exploring.
The entertainment keeps you engaged all day. Dance shows, singing groups, street actors, costume contests. It felt like walking through a movie set.
It is family friendly and stroller friendly.
The only downside was the part where I forgot one of my pump pieces and literally could not pump the entire time. I went eight hours straight without pumping and by the end of the night I was dying.
But honestly, a little wine made the discomfort bearable and I still had the best time.
I cannot wait to go back next year.
Back to the Grind
This week is busy. Lots of client meetings, lots of project updates, and a full list of tasks to delegate.
My long term goal is simple. Hold the meetings. Manage the strategy. And delegate everything else.
I will get there one day. And hiring is a big part of that.
We are still working on it. Reviewing applicants, planning interviews, and figuring out who will be the strongest fit as my right hand. Someone who can learn, lead, and eventually operate like a second version of me behind the scenes.
We are close.
Business Insight of the Week
You can love your business and still need help. You can have big goals and still need rest. And you can want rapid growth while still being honest about your burnout points.
Success is not about grinding endlessly. It is about building a structure where you are not the one doing everything.
If you want to scale, you have to hire, delegate, and let go of the urge to do it all. That is the only way to move from operator to owner.
Looking Ahead
This week I will be catching up on meetings, onboarding new clients from our Black Friday deal, and continuing to refine workflows so my team is set up for success.
I feel clear. I feel motivated. I feel like the work I did last week created the space I needed to grow this week.
And if you have big goals like I do, here is your reminder. They do not happen by accident. They happen when you work hard, plan ahead, and build the support system it takes to make them real.
Here is to another productive week. Here is to big goals. Here is to becoming who you said you would become.
