A Week of Momentum and Mayhem
This week has been insane in the best and most exhausting way. Honestly, I should start writing this blog as the week unfolds because by the time Sunday rolls around, so much has happened that it all feels like a blur.
Most days, I clocked over 8.5 hours of work, and that’s while watching a baby full-time. Somehow, between bottle prep, diaper changes, and feeding sessions, I managed to stay on top of client projects, onboarding, and meetings.
Jett has started smiling more and settling into a predictable rhythm. If we stay consistent with feeding him, changing him, and keep to the schedule, he gives me longer stretches to focus and get things done. For any parents working from home, that’s the secret sauce: routine equals freedom.
Business in Overdrive
Last week alone, I had four new consults, and each one made me pause and appreciate how far my business has come. There’s something deeply satisfying about realizing that all the systems you built, the automations, templates, and SOPs, actually work.
I’m especially grateful for my onboarding templates. If you’re a service provider and you don’t have standardized processes for bringing on new clients, stop what you’re doing and make one. A reusable onboarding system isn’t just efficient, it builds trust, saves hours, and ensures your clients always get a consistent, high-quality experience.

The Power of Connection
This week was full of reminders that relationships drive business. I had some incredible 1-2-1s with BNI peers, and each one reignited my passion for networking.
It’s so easy as a business owner to stay in the “doing” mode, head down, grinding out projects, but connection is where growth happens. Every time I sit down with other entrepreneurs, I walk away with new insight, clarity, and collaboration ideas.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected lately, take this as your nudge to reach out to someone in your network. Schedule a coffee chat or a Zoom call. You never know where one conversation might lead.
A Dallas Trip to Remember
Among the chaos, I snuck in a quick trip to Dallas to visit one of my clients in person and yes, we brought Jett along.
It was an amazing weekend. My husband had lessons and a camp nearby, so while he worked, Jett and I got some mom-and-baby time in. We had a lazy Saturday in the hotel room (which was heavenly after weeks of constant motion) and enjoyed reconnecting as a family away from home.
The best part? Seeing my client face-to-face. There’s something powerful about meeting the people you work with in real life, the energy is different, the collaboration feels deeper, and the relationship strengthens tenfold.
Delegating to Grow
One of my biggest wins this week was delegating more. Not everything, but enough that I felt a noticeable weight lift off my shoulders.
Delegation isn’t easy, especially for entrepreneurs who’ve built their business from scratch but it’s necessary. Every task you hand off gives you more time to focus on strategy, creativity, and leadership.
Even if it’s small, start somewhere. Maybe that’s handing off email sorting or having someone schedule your social posts. You don’t need to give away everything at once. Just lighten the load enough to breathe.
Looking Ahead
This coming week is already jam-packed. Monday and Tuesday are meeting-heavy, but Wednesday and Thursday open up, giving me space to focus on some big internal projects and client system builds.
We’re also officially posting our open position for a Business Support Assistant. I’ve already had a few strong candidates come in just through word of mouth, and I’m so excited to find and train the right person to grow into a second me.
Business growth feels different this time, steadier, more strategic, and more sustainable. Scaling isn’t just about saying “yes” to more clients; it’s about building the infrastructure to support that growth without burning out.
Business Insight of the Week
This week’s takeaway is simple: build your business to run even when you’re busy.
If your operations depend on you showing up every minute of every day, you don’t own a business, you own a job. Start systemizing now. Automate onboarding, document your processes, and train your people.
The goal isn’t to do less work, but to do smarter work , the kind that gives you freedom instead of taking it away.
Here’s to momentum, balance, and building businesses that thrive even in the busiest of seasons.
