Balancing Burnout and Business
This week was busy as usual. Client work, consults, meetings, new projects, and backend planning all collided into one big wave of activity. Business is absolutely booming, and I am beyond grateful for the momentum.
But at the same time, I could feel burnout creeping up. It is a weird mix of being energized by success while also realizing your body and brain are begging for a reset. Thankfully, I spent the week in Galveston with family. It was exactly the slowdown I needed.
Jett had both grandparents helping. I got home cooked meals. I did not touch a single dish. I had real help with the baby so I could relax and also stay caught up with client work. It felt like someone hit a reset button on my nervous system.
A Weekend of Hard Work and Fresh Air
Once we got back home, it was full on house building mode. I spent the entire weekend floating and taping. As I write this on Sunday night, I feel it in every muscle. My neck from looking up at ceilings. My calves from ladder climbing. Even my hands are sore.
But it felt incredible. I did not even realize how hard I was working because the process is so satisfying. It reminded me of icing a cake. Smooth, rhythmic, and oddly calming.
Most importantly, it was nice to step away from the laptop. As entrepreneurs, we forget how healing physical work and fresh air can be. When burnout hits, your first instinct is usually to push through. Instead, try doing something totally unrelated to business. It gives your mind a chance to breathe and creativity a chance to come back to life.
Black Friday is Almost Here
We are officially in Black Friday countdown mode, and this year’s deal is huge. If you have been on the fence about hiring us, this is the moment to follow ABJ Chapman Services on Facebook and Instagram so you do not miss the announcement.
This offer is perfect for people who have been wanting to outsource or get help with backend operations but have not committed yet. Our team has been preparing behind the scenes, refining systems, and getting ready to onboard new clients quickly and smoothly.
Current clients can earn one hundred dollars off their next month with a successful referral. This is the time to send people our way.
Coached by Jade Updates
Coached by Jade is also getting a full refresh. The 90 day program will stay, but I am shifting my focus to ongoing coaching because that is what my clients want. They want long term guidance, weekly accountability, and someone who grows with them.
The Backend Boss Membership aligns with this perfectly, offering continuous support at a more accessible commitment level. I am excited to roll out these updates in the coming weeks.
Hiring Update
We are still preparing to hire a new team member, a true second me. I plan to schedule interviews once a few large projects move off my plate. The goal is still to make this hire before the end of Q4. I am eager to find the right person who can think at a high level, support clients deeply, and help us scale properly.
A Big Announcement: I Am Speaking at BNI
On Tuesday, November 18th, I will be the featured speaker at BNI in Bryan at C&J BBQ. Anyone is welcome to attend and I would genuinely love to have you there.
If you want to learn more about ABJ Chapman Services, how we help business owners, what we do, and my background, this is the perfect time to hear it directly from me.
This talk will be somewhat similar to my One Million Cups presentation earlier in the year, but I will have more time to go deeper and answer questions. I am excited, nervous, and honored all at once. Your support would mean a lot.
Baby Jett Update
Jett turned three months old this week, and he is the sweetest little boy. Over thirteen pounds. Smiley. Happy. Curious. Growing fast.
He sits in my lap while I work and loves to be involved in my day. It makes everything feel sweeter and more purposeful.
Looking Ahead
The next week will be focused on finishing projects, preparing for Black Friday, continuing to streamline systems, and mentally prepping for a very full holiday season.
If you are a business owner, start planning your end of year schedule now.
Block off your holiday time.
Communicate dates to clients.
Prepare for the seasonal slowdowns or spikes.
And if you know you need backend support before the year ends, this is the time to take action. Visit abjchapmanservices.com to learn more or book a consult.
Let’s end the year with momentum, clarity, and growth.
