A Thanksgiving Week Filled With Growth
Happy Thanksgiving week everyone. This week is already shaping up to be one of the busiest and most exciting of the year. We are onboarding five new clients and business feels like it is moving at full speed in the best possible way.
Every time a new client joins us, I am reminded of how important it is to make people feel valued. I want every business owner we serve to feel supported, cared for, and deeply appreciated. Sending out client Christmas gifts last week felt so good. I also love sending ABJ anniversary gifts throughout the year. Gratitude is a core part of how I run this business.
What do you do to make your clients feel special? I always love hearing what others do to create that wow factor.
A Major Win: Our Database Project
This week our team wrapped up a huge database project and honestly, it felt amazing. It took a lot of teamwork, time, communication, and creativity. But we had so much fun doing it.
I have not worked on database or reporting work in quite a while, so jumping back into it reminded me just how much I love it. Training my interns through the process was a blast.
Everything just clicked again like I never stopped using those skills.
If your company needs a database, custom reports, or forms built to support your workflow, operations, or client processes, reach out. We can absolutely handle it. And we enjoy it.
Our Black Friday Deal
I am so excited to share our Black Friday offer because it is the best deal we have ever done.
Fifty percent off your first two months of VA Essentials. This is our cancel anytime plan that gives businesses the opportunity to try us out with zero pressure.
We created this offer for one reason. To give businesses the chance to see what real backend support can do for their growth, their time, and their clarity.
If you have been curious about outsourcing or wondering what hiring a VA could do for your business, this is your sign.
Taking Real Time Off
With Thanksgiving and Black Friday coming up, our entire office is officially closed for the long weekend. My whole team is taking real time off and I am doing the same.
We wrapped up multiple major projects and prepared for a busy December. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can go into a holiday without feeling guilty or behind. I delegated everything for the weekend and I am ready for rest.
Road Trip, Family Time, and Festival Fun
Right now we are headed to Bobby Joe’s family home in Kemper to spend a few days with them. We will be there until Wednesday. After that, we are spending Thanksgiving at home, just the three of us.
Then on Friday, we are meeting my family at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Jett gets to experience his first festival and I am honestly so excited. And this year we are dressing up. I have gone so many times and never dressed up once, so this year feels extra fun.
House Projects: Time to Get Back on Track
In house world, we have a long list of things to do and I am feeling motivated again. Bobby Joe will be heading out there during the week while I am with my mom so we can start chipping away at tasks again.
We need to get back on schedule and having a little extra help with Jett will make a huge difference.
Business Tip of the Week: Protect Your Time
Here is my advice for this holiday week.
Take the time off.
Set the auto-reply.
Log out.
Life is short. Family is everything. Rest matters more than you think.
If you are constantly in grind mode, you are missing the moments that actually make your life meaningful. Step back, breathe, and be present with the people around you this week.
Your business will still be there on Monday. Your clarity and peace will be better for it.
Looking Ahead
Next week is full of new clients, major projects, and the last stretch of 2025. December is always a whirlwind, but I am feeling ready and grounded heading into it.
