Our First Full Week in the House
This past week was definitely unique because we had our first full week living in the new house. Not being able to run into town at a moment’s notice felt strange. I only went into town on Tuesday, and it was different not being able to just drive five minutes to see Jett and my husband. It felt unusual at first, but in a good way. Every time I came home, I felt excited to be back in our wonderful space.
The house is starting to feel like home. Each little routine, every corner of the property, and even the quietness of the country helps me appreciate the slower pace of life. Living here has already shifted how I feel day to day. Life feels calmer and more intentional.
Business Growth and Delegation
Business is picking up in exciting ways. I’ve been spending more time on complex client work, including automations, APIs, reporting, and hosting projects that I haven’t delegated before. At the same time, I’ve been delegating more to my team, which is helping me step back from some of the day-to-day work.
Payroll has doubled this week, which was a little shocking, but it reflects the growth and increased delegation in the business. It is a good challenge. Consults have slowed down a bit, and while part of me wishes we were onboarding more clients, I also recognize that this is the perfect timing for the season we are in. Focusing on recurring clients and giving them the attention they need is exactly where we should be right now.
Enjoying the Fourth of July
The Fourth of July was so peaceful. We spent the day relaxing, cleaning the house a little, and enjoying simple family moments. We drove around, went to coffee, and ate at a small local cafe. From our front porch, we were even able to catch some fireworks. I am not sure whose they were, maybe Bremond's or a neighbor, but seeing them from home made it feel special and intimate.
Life here feels calm in a way it never did in College Station. The pace is slower, and I feel less rushed every day. It is an incredible change of energy that helps me focus and breathe.
Planning Ahead for Fall
I’m already thinking about the fall season. We are preparing for end-of-year promotions, evaluating rates, and planning to increase prices as we add more services. There is also a new service that will launch in January, which I am excited to offer to clients.
This is the season to strategize and plan intentionally. By taking the time to focus now, I am setting the stage for smoother operations and growth later in the year.
Exploring New Opportunities
I am considering starting a YouTube channel. I am not naturally a video person and often struggle to take videos, but I think I am ready to try something new. It feels like the right time to explore this outlet and see where it could go, both personally and professionally.
Trying new things is part of growth. Even when it feels awkward or uncertain, stepping into new opportunities helps me expand my skills and perspective as a business owner and content creator.
Looking Ahead
Next week, I plan to continue settling into the house while keeping business moving forward. Delegation, planning, and taking advantage of slower moments will allow me to maintain balance. Life is changing in so many ways, and I am grateful for the space, time, and energy to focus on what matters most.
The key lesson this week is to embrace the season you are in. Celebrate the small wins, appreciate the peace around you, and trust that the work you are doing now is preparing you for bigger things ahead.
