Another Milestone Week: Meetings, Maternity Prep, and a Whole Lot of Drywall

If last week had a theme, it would be: nonstop.

Business at Full Speed

I had over 13 meetings last week, plus our weekly full-team call where we made some key changes to help move the business forward. It was one of those weeks where you barely come up for air, but somehow, by the end of it, I found my rhythm.

Even though I was drowning midweek, I managed to catch up, knock out my priorities, and even squeeze in some personal time. I ran errands, cleaned, and got our grocery restock done and wow, it felt so good to head into the weekend with both business and life in order.

Baby World: The Nursery is Ready

On the baby front, things are feeling very real. The nursery is officially set up and ready to welcome Jett. We’ve organized everything we’ve purchased or received so far, and now we’re just waiting on all the thoughtful gifts from the next three baby showers we have planned. It’s wild to see how far we’ve come and how close we are to meeting our little boy.

Homebuilding Progress: Drywall and More

The house build continues to move forward with momentum. Our amazing drywall crew made major progress throughout the week, and we spent the weekend continuing to knock out insulation above the ceiling drywall in the 10-foot rooms. We also got our master shower sloped and prepped, which is another huge step.

Everyone was feeling sore and a little cranky (honestly, who wouldn’t after that much labor in the heat?), but we powered through together.

This was officially my last house-building weekend before maternity rest begins. The next work weekend is scheduled for August 9th, and I’ll be too close to my due date to risk being out there. It’s bittersweet, but I know it’s the right time to start stepping back.

Prepping for Maternity Leave

This upcoming week is all about training. I’m walking my team through tasks I’ll be delegating while I’m on leave, making sure everyone feels clear, capable, and confident.

The stronger they are, the more I can truly step away, knowing the business is in great hands. I’m so proud of the growth they’ve already shown, and this is just another chance for them to shine.

Looking Ahead

Every week brings us closer to baby Jett’s arrival, and every week we get a little more prepared in life, in business, and at home.

See you next week!
